So, back in August 2023, there was a bit of an upset in my Viral Load numbers. The test came back not undetectable. This prompted my consultant to make an immediate change in my medication and to get tests done to see if I had become resistant to any of the meds.

This change in the medication to Symtuza meant that we would have to have tests done to make sure that I would be able to have the anti-rejection medication that comes with transplants should I be lucky enough to get a transplant while taking Symtuza. This test seemed well nigh impossible to get organised.

However, at my last appointment at the Beaumont Hospital Infectious Diseases clinic, we changed back to Juluca for the antiretrovirals and we know that it is transplant-friendly and so no further test is needed. Hurrah for known results.
