Every so often someone emails me having seen my blog on the Healthline list for the top 16 Sexual Health Blogs. Recently Naomi Mwamba, a Master’s student at Northumbria University contacted me.
Naomi is looking for participants in a survey that she needs filled in to help with her research project. The research she is conducting is looking at whether the link between childhood trauma and adult sexual risk taking and non-suicidal self harm is moderated by the coping processes a person uses. Another way of saying this is, ‘does the way a person copes with a history of trauma influence their sexual risk taking and/or self harm behaviours in adulthood?
The research has gone through the necessary ethical procedures by the Northumbria University School of Life Sciences ethics committee.
