For the last eleven years and more, I have been writing about what it is like to live with HIV. Every so often, in the media—be it print or broadcast—I have seen some shocking ways of referring to people living with HIV, or to some part of that. Early on in my writing this blog, I linked Guidelines for Reporting HIV, published in June 2010 by NAT in the UK. I was particularly pleased to learn that HIV Ireland published its guidelines in the last week. You can read them here: HIV Terminology Guidelines.
